Girlies I love being a camp administrator. Phone calls are the only thing I don't love about it. I like organizing and having a personal system of organization, I love checking names off lists, I love writing emails and doing monotonous tasks. I love interacting with parents of campers, I love the fresh air and the AC. I'm getting paid less than $200 a week for 70 hours a week, but I get free meals and room/board, and my coworkers range from sixteen year old valley girls to a seventy year old chef who makes awesome cookies and got shot dealing drugs in his twenties.

I have fun stories, I can physically and mentally handle the work, and it's fulfilling. Why wouldn't I want to work where I do?

Okay so this is kinda a soft moment with Jake and Devon (the moment we deserve) if Don grew a pair and the Camp Enlightenment AU was real.

It starts off with Devon saying he's going to take a nap, and Jake really thinks nothing of it - Devon sometimes has periods when he wants to be alone, and Jake can respect that. It gets weird though, when he walks in on Devon handcuffing his right wrist to their bedpost before going to bed.

Jake's like "what are you doing?" and Devon casually says he's going to sleep, and they used to do this (by 'this', he means handcuff him to his bedpost) when he was at the Camp and his mother always worked nightshifts and never really saw the handcuffs, so he assumed it was normal.

And Jake weighs his options. On one hand, he doesn't want to cause Devon more hurt by taking the cuffs away. On the other hand, that isn't normal and just another version of the terrible shit Devon went through.

So, he just sits by his bed, grabs a safety pin from that chain he constantly wears (it has a safety pin attached to it so he can pick locks at any time) and starts to pick the handcuff lock and tell Devon about this book he read on this sort of thing. That little girls and boys who grow up being handcuffed to their beds learn to think of themselves as dangerous or monsters. And as the lock clicks and the handcuff comes off, Jake says "But I'm not afraid of you. Neither is Lexy, or Grant, or anyone else you know. So, we have no need for this."

they're no longer making Amimal crossing Pocket Camp playable anymore. And it'll be non usable November 20th (I think. Bad with number dates but.) I'm so freaking livid about this.
